Become a member

We are currently seeking nominations for new members of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Work Group (CYBHWG). 

Open positions

  • A parent of a child age 5 or younger who has received or needed mental health and/or substance use services for themselves or their child 
  • 2 young people (ages 13-27) who have received or needed mental health and/or substance use services
  • A provider of culturally and linguistically appropriate health services to traditionally underserved communities
  • A representative from an Educational Service District (ESD)
  • A representative from a Managed Care Organization (MCO)

Time commitment

Attend up to eight 3-4 hour CYBHWG meetings per year and one 3-hour member retreat. Most meetings are virtual (held on Zoom). All in-person meetings include a virtual option. Optional: Participate in one or more subgroups.

Term

Member terms may not exceed 3 years.

To make it easier to participate

  • Most parents and young people are eligible for payment for attending work group meetings.
  • Parents and young people may receive payment to cover child and elder care expenses.
  • Travel expenses for in-person meetings are covered.
  • Translation and interpreter services are available, if arranged in advance.
