How do I access ProviderOne?
As a ProviderOne system administrator, you set up users within your organization with appropriate security profiles related to the user’s job duties. The ProviderOne Security team helps you access ProviderOne and stay connected.

ProviderOne Security are processes designed to protect unauthorized access to the ProviderOne payment system. The ProviderOne Security team administers and supports access to the ProviderOne payment system.
Important! HIPAA compliance requires that each person logging in to ProviderOne must have their own user account with their name, date of birth, and individual email address. To ensure compliance, follow the detailed instructions for setting up users in ProviderOne.
Once you are approved as a Medicaid provider, you will receive a welcome letter and a copy of the ProviderOne User Access Request form via U.S. mail. Contact information and instructions are listed on the form.
ProviderOne Security assigns confidential login credentials to the person named on the form as the provider system administrator. The login credentials will be sent in two separate emails to the individual email address listed on the ProviderOne User Access Request form.
Once the system administrator receives their credentials, they log into ProviderOne to set up other users.

To unlock your ProviderOne account, go to the ProviderOne login page. Under the login button:
- Click "To Unlock Account and Reset Password, Click here."
- You will be required to correctly answer the password reset questions, listed below, before a temporary password will be sent to the email address in your user file.
Security questions are:
- Secret Question (case sensitive)
- Date of Birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
- Last Name (case sensitive)
- If you get an error message saying your security questions are incorrect, contact your organization’s system administrator for verification. If you are a system administrator, email the ProviderOne Security team.
- If you are the sole system administrator of a domain, ProviderOne Security can assist with unlocking your account or resetting a password. If there are additional system administrators within your organization, you will be referred to them for assistance.
Important! Check to make sure your date of birth and last name are correct on the user detail page when you first access ProviderOne. This ensures that the correct information will be in the system if you ever forget your login information.
Any acting system administrator should be able to add the EXT Provider System Administrator profile to an existing user, or create a new user account with the administrator profile. If the previous administrator is no longer with the organization, please submit the ProviderOne User Access Request form and a letter on your organization’s letterhead.
- The letter must state that the current system administrator (with their name) should no longer have access to ProviderOne.
- The letter must be signed by an office manager or provider that is not the same person requesting access.
- Contact information and instructions are listed on the form.
ProviderOne Security will expire the previous system administrator's access and assign confidential login credentials to the person named on the form as the new system administrator. The login credentials will be sent in two separate emails to the individual email address listed on the ProviderOne User Access Request form.
Tip: The ProviderOne ID is a seven digit number also called the domain number. If you need additional help, email ProviderOne Security. Include your domain number, date of birth (for security verification) and a clear description of the issue.
