Disaster outreach
Disaster outreach services offer emotional support to residents during and following declared disasters in Washington State. The service is activated when counties find the need for emotional support is greater than their ability to meet the need.
North Sound Listens
North Sound Listens is a program created in response to the 2021 floods in Whatcom and Skagit county. The program is designed to help people deal with stresses from the flooding and its aftermath, and to build recovery. This includes providing someone to talk to, groups to help work through the stress together, resources to self-manage, and connection to resources.
North Sound Listens support staff are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. via email at NorthSoundListens@NorthSoundACH.org or by phone at 360-935-0105. Two team members speak Spanish, and all have access to interpretation services for all other languages.
