Pay my Apple Health premium

Some Washington Apple Health programs require a premium payment, including:

• Apple Health for Kids with Premiums (commonly referred to as CHIP)
• Apple Health for Workers with Disabilities (HWD)

If you were approved for an Apple Health program that requires you to pay a monthly premium, you will be mailed a statement from the Office of Financial Recovery (OFR). The statement will tell you the premium amount and information on how to pay.

Do I need to pay my premium before receiving health services?

No, if you received a letter stating you have been approved for Apple Health coverage, you do not need to wait until a premium bill comes to begin using your services.

How do I pay my Apple Health premium?

Premium payments can be made online or by mail. There is no option to pay over the phone at this time.

Pay online

Before you can pay your bill online, create a Secure Access Washington (SAW) user account. Once you have a SAW account:

• Visit: Secure Access Washington (SAW)
• Select apply for "Payment services provided by Department of Social and Health Services for PRM and HWD health insurance."
• Follow the prompts to add your bank account.

For assistance setting up your payment account, contact OFR at 1-800-562-6114, Option 1. Have your statement ready when you call.

Pay by mail

Your premium statement will include a tear off slip that should be mailed with your payment if you are sending a check or money order.​​ Send the invoice, along with your check or money order to the address below:
