Health technology reviews
HTA supports the independent Health Technology Clinical Committee (HTCC), which makes coverage decisions that apply to state purchased health care programs. The HTCC is composed of community health care practitioners. HTA develops scientific, evidence-based reports on selected medical devices, procedures, and tests. The HTCC uses the reports and considers other information to determine the conditions for coverage. State agencies that purchase health care, use HTCC decisions to define covered services for the benefits they provide.
