Potential government shutdown

In the event of a federal government shutdown, individuals enrolled in Apple Health (Medicaid), Public Employees Benefits Board, and School Employees Benefits Board coverage—and those accessing behavioral health services—will not experience a disruption in care. In addition, health care providers will continue to be paid for the services they provide.

If a shutdown occurs, we will share more information at that time.

Promoting Interoperability Program (PIP)

In 2011, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) established the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs (now known as the Promoting Interoperability Program) to encourage select providers to adopt, implement, upgrade, and demonstrate meaningful use of certified electronic health record technology (CEHRT). Over the past 10 years HCA’s EHR team facilitated the disbursement of $360,320,867 in federal funds throughout Washington State’s provider infrastructure.

As of December 31, 2021 the Promoting Interoperability Program has come to an end. If you have any outstanding issues with your attestations please contact HCA Health IT.

We provide monthly newsletters to keep you up-to-date on PIP.
