Plan options

Kaiser Permanente NW Classic

The Classic plan has the lowest annual medical deductible and annual out-of-pocket maximum and the highest monthly premium of our two plans.

Annual costs

  • Medical deductible: $300 per person / $900 family
  • Out-of-pocket limit: $2,500 per person / $5,000 family

Key features

  • Preventive care, such as health screenings, physical exams, vaccinations, and scheduled phone and video visits, are no additional cost. 
  • Access to wellness resources such as healthy lifestyle programs, a diabetes prevention program, self-care mental health apps, online wellness tools, personal wellness coaching, and more. 
  • Schedule appointments and view lab test results online or through the Kaiser Permanente app. 
  • Skip the trip to the pharmacy and get most prescriptions mailed directly to you with no-cost shipping.

Available counties

In most cases, you must live in a medical plan’s service area to join the plan. If you move out of your plan's service area, and you medical plan is no longer available, you must select a new plan. If you do not, the PEBB Program will enroll you in a plan. You must report your new address to your payroll or benefits office no later than 60 days after your move. Visit plans available by county for retirees or continuation coverage.

Kaiser Permanente NW CDHP

The CDHP Plan has a higher annual medical deductible and annual out-of-pocket maximum, but lower monthly premium than the Classic plan. This is a health savings account (HSA) qualified plan. You will pay the deductible first for most services, except preventive care. 

Annual costs

  • Medical deductibles: $1,600 per person / $3,200 family
  • Out-of-pocket limit: $5,100 per person / $10,200 family

About the HSA

Visit HealthEquity or watch their recorded webinar to discover the many uses for your HSA. The State of Washington contributes annually to the account on an individual or family basis. Once the money is in your account, it’s yours, and there is no deadline to use it.
