HCA wildfire response information and resources

Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) is monitoring wildfire activity across Washington and working with state and local partners to support Apple Health (Medicaid) clients, PEBB and SEBB Program members, and providers in communities that may be affected.
This page will serve as a central location for HCA wildfire response information including updates, how to access health care and behavioral health services during wildfire-related disruptions, and links to state and community resources.

Apple Health clients
If you have Apple Health coverage through a managed care plan, contact your Apple Health plan.
If you have Apple Health coverage without a managed care plan, contact HCA at 1-800-562-3022 or use the secure contact form.
Nonemergency medical transportation is available to Apple Health clients for covered medical services through Special Mobility Services (SMS) in Spokane. Visit our transportation webpage for more information.

Apple Health providers
Providers serving Apple Health fee‑for‑service (FFS) clients who need replacement medical supplies and equipment can view the Provider Alert for guidance.
If your patient requires a medication refill early, and if the medication requires authorization and the dispensing pharmacists determines there is an urgent need, the pharmacy may dispense as an emergency fill. Read the Apple Health Emergency fill policy to learn more.
