Managed care enrollment
Most Apple Health clients are enrolled in a managed care plan. Clients enrolled in managed care can receive additional benefits and support from their managed care organization.
Clients can change their managed care plan at any time. Changes usually take effect the first day of the following month, unless the request was made in the last two business days of the current month.

Help clients report a pregnancy
Apple Health clients should report their pregnancy as soon as possible. Reporting a pregnancy helps HCA confirm that the client has appropriate coverage and transitions to After-Pregnancy Coverage (APC) when the pregnancy ends. APC is comprehensive coverage for individuals to access health care services any time in the 12 months after their pregnancy ends.
Clients report a pregnancy by:
- Calling: Washington Healthplanfinder at 1-855-923-4633
- Updating their account: at Washington Healthplanfinder
Providers can encourage clients to report their pregnancy or assist them in completing the steps.
2027 billing code changes
Effective January 1, 2027, The American Medical Association (AMA) will no longer support the obstetric (OB) global obstetric codes for professional services reimbursement.
HCA will remove deleted global obstetrics codes from Apple Health billing guides and fee schedules, effective January 1, 2027. Providers will instead use new and revised Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes that align with updated Apple Health clinical policy.
