This page teaches you how to find a health care and dental provider that accepts your Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage.
Once you’re enrolled in Apple Health, your next step is to find a primary care provider, sometimes called a PCP.
A primary care provider helps you stay healthy, manage ongoing conditions, and catch problems early before they become emergencies. Your primary care provider can be a doctor, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, naturopath, or a clinic with several providers.
Even if you feel healthy, it’s important to choose a PCP and make your first appointment. This helps you catch problems early. Primary care providers:
Help you when you are sick.
Help you manage long-term health problems.
Send you to a specialist if you need extra care.
Most Apple Health clients are enrolled in a managed care plan. If you are in a managed care plan, you must choose a provider who is in your plan’s network. If you do not choose a PCP, your plan will choose one for you

Some people have Apple Health coverage without a managed care plan. This is also known as fee-for-service. If this is you, you can see any provider who accepts Apple Health.
