Resources for those impacted by statewide flooding
The Health Care Authority (HCA) is aware of the significant impacts from the recent atmospheric river event, including flooding, road closures, and evacuations.
The U.S. government has declared a public health emergency in Washington because of the winter storms and flooding that started around December 9. This helps Washington’s Health Care Authority make temporary changes so people can keep getting health care during the emergency. HCA has asked the federal government to waive certain rules for Apple Health (Medicaid) clients affected by the floods.
If you or someone you know has been displaced, needs medical or behavioral health support, has lost or needs replacement of prescription drugs, eyewear, or other medical equipment, or is navigating interruptions to health coverage or services, resources are available to help. We will update this page with more information when we receive a response to this request.
