What is the Washington State Common Measure Set (WSCMS)?

A collection of measures that provide the foundation for health care accountability and performance tracking in Washington State. The development and ongoing evolution and implementation of a set of measures is mandated in House Bill 2572 (2013-14).

Who creates the WSCMS?

The Performance Measures Coordinating Committee (PMCC) is responsible for the ongoing development and evolution of the WSCMS. A "starter set" of measures was approved by the PMCC with the support of temporary technical work groups in December 2014. The starter set is intended to evolve over time as the science of measurement and state priorities change. The PMCC continues to hold public meetings to consider recommendations for the measure set.
