Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe)

WISe provides team-bases, intensive behavioral health support for eligible individuals in Washington State.

WISe overview

WISe is for individuals age 20 or younger who:

  • Have complex behavioral health needs
  • Are eligible for Apple Health (Medicaid)
  • Meet medical necessity for WISe services

As of late 2021, WISe is also available to undocumented individuals who meet eligibility.

WISe Quality Plan project

HCA launched the WISe Quality Plan project in February 2024. It will continue through mid-2025 and is currently in Phase 2.

WISe for Birth through Five (B-5)

Young children (birth to age 5) with qualifying mental health conditions can receive services through WISe. Extra tools and guidance are available for providers working with this age group.
