Mission
As informed purchasers of health care services, our mission is to make clinical policy decisions that guide medical coverage, maintain quality standards, and ensure providers have access to evidence-based practices for our client’s medical care.
Goals to improve health care access, quality, and cost
- Using evidence to make clear and consistent coverage decisions. Evidence-based medicine combines clinical expertise with the best relevant medical evidence from systematic scientific clinical research.
- Working with providers and manufacturers to ensure we are informed of current industry standards and trends. We conduct provider outreach, liaison, support, and advise on health care benefits policy.
- Making consistent medical decisions that reflect a clear and open process of using evidence-based medicine. Transparency within the process allows for stakeholder and patient participation in care.
