About Navia Benefit Solutions

Navia Benefit Solutions administers the Medical Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA), Limited Purpose FSA, and Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) for the SEBB Program.

Medical FSA

The Medical FSA is a personal expense account allowing you to set aside a portion of your salary pretax to pay for qualified health care expenses.

Key features

  • Contribute up to $2,850 to help pay for eligible expenses January 1 through December 31, 2023. 
  • Access to your full annual election amount at the start of the year. 
  • Thousands of eligible medical, dental, and vision expenses.
  • Pay for your eligible dependents' health care expenses, even if they are not enrolled on your SEBB plan. 
  • Debit card available to pay for expenses directly, in addition to claim reimbursement. 
  • Carry over unspent funds—up to $610—into the next year (2024).

Limited Purpose FSA

The Limited Purpose FSA is intended for employees enrolled in UMP High Deductible with a health savings account (HSA).

The Limited Purpose FSA is a personal expense account allowing you to set aside a portion of your salary pretax to pay for qualified dental and vision expenses.

Key features

  • Contribute up to $2,850 to help pay for eligible expenses January 1 through December 31, 2023. 
  • Access to your full annual election amount at the start of the year. 
  • Hundreds of eligible dental and vision expenses.
  • Pay for your eligible dependents' health care expenses, even if they are not enrolled on your SEBB plan. 
  • Can be used alongside a Health Savings Account (HSA). 
  • Debit card available to pay for expenses directly, in addition to claim reimbursement. 
  • Carry over unspent funds—up to $610—into the next year (2024).

DCAP

The DCAP allows you to set aside pretax money for child and elder care expenses that enable you (and your spouse, if married) to work, look for work, or be a full-time student. 

Key features

  • Contribute up to $5,000 to help pay for eligible expenses January 1 through December 31, 2023. 
  • Funds to cover expenses become available as you contribute to the benefit with each paycheck. 
  • Eligible expenses include: before/after school child care, preschool, day camps, elder care, and more.
  • Debit card option available to pay for expenses directly. You can also set up recurring claims to reimburse you automatically.
