Suicide is an increasing issue in Washington State that must be addressed at all levels of treatment. 60 percent of patients see their primary care provider in the month before attempting suicide. Almost 40 percent see their primary care provider a week before an attempt.

Increasing screening protocols and collaboration between providers is an important step in the process of treating suicidal ideation. Use the resources on this page to help reduce suicide in your community and across Washington State.
