Individuals enrolled in Apple Health (Medicaid), Public Employees Benefits Board, and School Employees Benefits Board coverage - and those accessing behavioral health services - will not experience a disruption in care due to the federal government shutdown. In addition, health care providers will continue to be paid for the services they provide. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and share updates if anything changes.
The Health Care Authority (HCA) oversees, examines, and monitors its contracted providers and participating managed care entities to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
As required by 42 CFR 438.602, HCA is required to complete and published certain audits. **NOTE: Appendices are not included in the links below due to privacy laws.
For calendar year 2020: Health Care Authority did not have a contractor conduct any audits on behalf of the medical assistance program required to be published under RCW 74.09.195(2)(b).
For calendar year 2021: Health Care Authority did not have a contractor conduct any audits on behalf of the medical assistance program required to be published under RCW 74.09.195(2)(b).
