Provider network(s) (i.e., network providers)
Note: This definition is for UMP Plus only. Read the definition for UMP Classic and UMP CDHP.
A provider network is a group of providers who are contracted to provide health care services to plan members. These providers have agreed to see members under certain rules, including billing at contracted rates (see “Allowed amount, medical services”).
Network providers for UMP Plus members in 2019 consist of primary care providers in the core network, ancillary providers in the core or support network, and specialty providers or facilities affiliated with your UMP Plus network (UW Medicine ACN or Puget Sound High Value Network).
