SEB Board approves resolution regarding active duty employees
On April 7, 2022, the School Employees Benefits Board (SEB Board) met virtually. The meeting was open to the public via Zoom.

The Board approved the following resolution:
2022-01: When employees who were previously eligible for benefits return to school employment from active duty in the uniformed services, they regain eligibility for the employer contribution toward their benefits the day they return from active duty and begin employer-paid benefits the first day of the month they return from active duty.
Health Care Authority (HCA) staff provided presentations on the following:
- Proposed rule changes.
- Specific proposals of possible future benefit design enhancements for the Uniform Dental Plan.
- Updates on legislation passed by the 2022 Legislature.
- Recap on the final supplemental legislative budget and its impacts on the SEBB Program.
The next public meeting of the SEB Board is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 5. Board members and the public may attend virtually via Zoom. The link or call-in number will be noted on the meeting agenda, which will be posted on the SEB Board Meetings and materials webpage.
