Note: You cannot apply for both an individual Medicare plan and a PEBB UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plan. Federal rules do not allow enrollment in more than one Medicare plan at a time.

In general, PEBB retirees may choose from the plans listed below. Remember, if you cover eligible dependents, everyone must enroll in the same medical plan (with some exceptions, based on eligibility for Medicare Part A and Part B).

To enroll in a UnitedHealthcare medical plan, you need to complete the Retiree Election form (form A).
If you enroll in a UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plan, and you are already enrolled in a standalone Medicare Part D plan, your current Part D plan will be terminated. The termination happens because you can only have one Part D plan at a time, and the UnitedHealthcare MAPD plans include Part D coverage.
