Telepsychiatry increases access to care

More primary care practices are using telemedicine to address the challenges of rising costs and provider shortages, especially in rural areas. And, as primary care providers are called upon to manage more patients with mental health and substance abuse issues, many busy practices are considering telepsychiatry as an option for integrating behavioral health.  

In this video, staff members at Mid-Valley Clinic in Omak, Washington share how they use telepsychiatry to reduce stigma and problems of access, while integrating behavioral health and primary care.
