Shared Decision Making Summit

The Shared Decision Making Summit is a forum in which policymakers, payers, and health care organizations work together to advance implementation of shared decision making (SDM) strategies. These strategies will help patients, families, and caregivers make informed decisions about a patient’s health together with their clinicians.

Summit goals

The purpose of the summit is to promote adoption of Bree SDM implementation strategies, and energize, educate, and activate!

During the summit, we hope to:

  • Articulate the importance and value of effective SDM to gain buy in and support.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities.
  • Communicate the vision for the future of SDM.
  • Identify opportunities and strategies to overcome barriers.
  • Spread the use of SDM in practice.
  • Support policy and payer approaches to spread SDM.
