Reimbursement Steering Committee (RSC)
The Reimbursement Steering Committee (RSC) is an interagency work group with representatives from three state agencies that purchase health care. Through the RSC, the state agencies coordinate in the development and maintenance of health care payment systems. RSC representatives participate in the TAG meetings, sharing information and soliciting TAG member input about the state agencies' health care payment systems and policies. The goals of the RSC are to:
- Use state resources efficiently by sharing knowledge and resources;
- Promote consistency among payers by increasing the integrity and conformity among state purchasers; and
- Minimize administrative burdens and simplify processes for providers, patients and payers by establishing common policies and procedures where possible.
