Stakeholder Training and Education

New in April 2016

Beginning in April 2016, for individuals applying for or renewing Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage and enrolling into a managed care organization, Health Care Authority (HCA) will backdate the effective date of enrollment into a managed care plan to the first day of the month in which a client is eligible. HCA will send additional information in future Provider Alerts.

Apple Health (Medicaid) and Healthplanfinder training and education resources provided for stakeholders, providers, community-based organizations, tribal organizations, trainers and assisters.

Community-Based Training

Community partners who are affiliated with a community-based organization in Washington state are offered the opportunity to complete eligibility training for Apple Health coverage and how to navigate in the Healthplanfinder application web portal. Partners may then apply for "volunteer" access in Healthplanfinder. Learn more.
